The town, comprising roughly 30 square miles, is situated on the eastern bank of the Connecticut River. A former agricultural community, Lyme is today committed to preserving its heritage and small-town atmosphere.
Lyme boasts numerous parks and preserves, and myriad trails offer plenty of opportunities for recreation in all seasons. The Estuary Transit District provides public transportation throughout Lyme and surrounding communities.
